3 months old!

Look who is 3 months old today!! Aimsley is now enjoying tummy time more and more!! She is very observant and smiles more and more each day!! She is still in her newborn clothes and hasn't quite made it to 0-3 months yet! So little! Aimsley also LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! If we want her to smile for a picture or something we just start singing Mickey! Works every time! She is the sweetest.

Chase's First Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my sweet daddy himself!! And Happy Father's Day to Chase! What a wonderful Father you are!! And if this child isn't a spitting image of you (see picture below). This picture is Chase and Aimsley both at 11 weeks old. Crazy stuff! HAHA! Our family goes big for pretty much any holiday. If its an excuse to get together and eat then we will take that opportunity! These are some of my favorite memories as a child. Cookouts at Granny's! From water slides to Easter egg hunts to croquet tournaments to fishing and shooting skeet, you name it and we do it! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family! I hope that we will continue this tradition beyond when Granny and Pa pass! They have instilled so many life long lessons in us and family being the most important is definitely one of them! Aimsley had her first cookout at Granny and Pa's on Father's Day this year. Of course she was the center of attention. It was hard for me not to grab her and keep her to myself all day but I thought it would be better if I shared her! It was the perfect weekend!

5 Generations!

How precious is this picture? 5 Generations with the Whittinghill family!! First there is my Mammaw Whittinghill Roxy who is 92 years old! Then there is my sweet Granny Christina Whittinghill Flener who is 68. Wow I cannot believe she is 68. I love this woman more than words! Then there is my wonderful mommy Sheila Hatcher who is 52. Keishia is 27 and Aimsley is 2 months! We feel so blessed to still have all of these beautiful women in our lives. These are definitely the people I get my stubbornness from! We aren't as fortunate to have our grandparents still around on dad's side. Both his parents passed when we were younger. The older I get, the more I appreciate moments spent with them.

2 Month Checkup and Baby Dean!!

Lots has happened in the last couple of days!!! Aimsley had her 2 month checkup! She weighs a big whopping 9 pounds and 7 ounces!! This is less than her mommy weighed when she was born! Crazy that she is so little! We love her so much!! Also on June 8th 2012 Aimsley gained a new cousin! Welcome to the family Dean Michael Portman!! He weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces and was 18 3/4 inches long!! Look at all that hair!! We are so blessed to have another healthy baby brought into our family! Aimsley and Dean will be very close being only 2 months apart!! How fun! Me and Keishia had a very fun childhood because of all of our cousins. We have a total of 12 cousins now! We were very luck that most of them lived right beside us on the farm and they were like our brothers and sisters. Such good memories! Hopefully I will have a child close to Keishia when she has her second or third! How fun would it be to be pregnant together!!

I got to babysit Aimsley for the first time by myself this weekend. Keishia had a dinner date with some friends and Aimsley came to stay with me! We had a poopy explosion, some sleeping, then some crying!! Apparently Aimsley hadn't eaten well all day so once 7 rolled around she was apparently starving marvin' but did not want the bottle. She just wanted momma! I rocked and walked around to keep her calm until Keishia got home. It was an experience but one I would do again any day! Love spending time with my bunny! Until next time!

BIG GIRL!!!!

I became deathly sick last week and I was literally dragging myself to work, getting nothing accomplished, and deff. not blogging. So I deeply apologize. But anyways now I feel fine...still a little cough. And the worst part about being sick was that I couldn't go near Aimsley. A lot has happened in these last couple of weeks! Aimsley went in for her 2 month checkup and got her shots! She handled them pretty well, thought that Keishia was the one who gave her the shots because they made her breast feed during it. HAHA. Aimsley has also giggled for the first time, is a smiling machine, and started her first day of daycare yesterday. Keishia had to go back to work and Aimsley is at daycare at First Baptist Church here in Bowling Green. They have an excellent 3 year old program that has a long waiting list. Luckily Keishia got Aimsley signed up shortly after she was conceived so she is good to go. If you didn't know, that is the most important time in a child's life development wise. They say that if you want to teach your child a foreign language, the best time to do it is before the age of 4! The child actually has the ability to become fluent. Pretty cool! Anyways here are a couple of pictures from the last week!!
